Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 6 -Unused

In response to Hugh’s Photo Challenge with the theme Unused

This small fountain is unused because the town doesn’t have money to keep it running. It is pity and there are also other nice fountains without water… they look rather like silent dry statues.

I often took walks along the Vag river and was thinking how nice should by to live in one of these houses by the river.

The renovation takes it cost.

People they lived in these houses were advised to leave their houses because of renovation of the new trail bridge. Of course they got an option to sell the land or get an alternative housing but… I can’t imagine to leave my home just because somebody agreed to lead the new trail across the land where these houses stood for years and sheltered generations.

This bench remember a lot of couples kissing each other in the calm evening, children laughter, books or news paper readers and many different stories… but there is no money for renovation so it can only dream about some new stories.

  1. Hi Majka, thank you for participating in this week’s photo challenge.

Such a shame that the beautiful fountain can no longer be used because of lack of funds. It looks quite old but very beautiful. I love your story about the unused park bench as well. Again, such a shame that it can not be fixed so that people can use it agin.

    • Thanks Hugh! Sadly there are always money for different not so important things but maybe one day.. let’s hope ☺
