Writing 101

Writing 101, Day 4: Seconds

In response to the Writing 101 with the theme Seconds

Countdown

Soon, in a couple of days
the world will celebrate,
it will start counting down
the last seconds of the year.
People will ordain new commitments
which, maybe, will never get fulfilled.
Thousands of thoughts, yet more wishes,
how has been the passing year?
Was it good or was it bad?
And what will bring the new one?
In the last minute there is coming
a flashback of a whole life.
And before the fireworks will lighten
the dark night sky,
the voice in the head will merge
with the ticking clock and count down:
ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four,  three, two, one…

Writing 101, Day 3: Sleep

In response to the Writing 101 with the theme Sleep here is my entry:

Sleepless life

I wanted to close my eyes
just for a moment, for a while
but since I was born as a fish,
I can’t.
I got only this sleepless life.

Writing 101, Day 2: Reflection

In response to the Writing 101 with a word prompt Reflection here is my entry:

The face inside the rain drop

I stood amazed
when I saw the little face
hidden inside the drop.
I felt like I am looking
through a fragile ball of glass
yet I saw the baby’s gentle smile,
touching its tiny lips,
does it want to say something?
I stood amazed,
thinking “am I still dreaming?”
or am I already awake
looking at this innocent baby face.

This photo I took some months ago after a calm rainy evening.  It was very nice as the drops calmly hang on the top of the pine needles .
When I edited my photos and zoomed in this one I wondered about the face inside the drop. I was thinking it is maybe my reflection but… if you look closer it looks more like a tiny baby inside a rain drop.
Well it is all up to you what you can exactly see. The imagination doesn’t know borders. ☺

Writing 101, Day 1: Magic

In response to the Writing 101 with a word prompt Magic here is my poem and what I consider a magic

Motherhood

Two people in love or maybe just a silly “innocent game”.

That’ s how the magic can be explained.

Sometimes a joy… sometimes a mistake?

The tiny seed in a woman’ s womb, a little miracle.

Growing like a plant in the spring,

the first sprouts are the tiny limbs,

branching out in wee fingers – week by week,

unseen yet visibly developing.

Nine months of expectation, joy, fear

and then the new life is here!

It’ s a magic!

It’ s a miracle, the greatest gift from God.
