Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #19

Leptotes cassius, commonly known as the Cassius Blue or Tropical Striped Blue. This was the first time I saw it in our yard licking the nectar from the gungo peas flower. I was very glad, I could capture this butterfly enjoying the nectar.

Photography 101, Day Sixteen: Treasure

In response to the Photo 101 – Blogging University for the day sixteen – Treasure (Zooming)

Whily’s paw

I found the treasure in your eyes,
your sight would melt many hearts,
you love to be around me
and if you can lean your cheek on my feet,
or put your paws in my palms,
you are satisfied.

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 week #6

Taking photos of these bugs is so easy because they are quiet, but they are also tiny enough to challenge the focusing. I like do do researches after taking photos of some insects what I exactly captured. This “Western conifer seed bug” is native to the warm western USA but recently it expanded also in some parts of Europe. In the winter time the bugs try to survive inside the houses so they are not really very welcomed though they don’t do any damages, except their aroma when are disturbed. It is worst for the plants outside, because they  feed on the sap of developing conifer cones throughout its life, , and its sap-sucking causes the developing seeds to wither and misdevelop (source: Wikipedia).

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 week #4

On my short walk I was able to capture this bat relaxing on the sun.

This green fly decided to provoke me until I didn’t take a shot, two. It was flying in front of my nose and I almost could hear: “Press finally that button! I  won’t dance here the whole day!”
