Writing 201: Poetry, Day five – Map

I will always love maps and they will be like books for me – touchable with a typical scent.
Today’s word prompt MAP should bring a lot of ideas how to complete this first creative week. I hope it made all of you very free and the Metaphors found their places in your Odes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Five very good friends, five tourists started their trip,
decided to reach those beautiful places
they saw once in the unexpected pic.
First place will be the curly bush, thick and colored by fire.
Those curls are falling deep down,
they are like a burning waterfall.
The tourists won’t take a long stop now, the trip will continue
until they reach two bright green lakes,  so deep and pure.
Just a quick look and they already heading to a peak
placed at the halfway of this discovering.
They can already see a heart shaped redish pool.
The view from the peak is really beautiful.
They would like to continue but…
they didn’t get the next part of the map.
Maybe next time
when the night will come, the dreams will bring
more beautiful places for visiting.
Writing 201: Poetry, Day Three – Skin
Thanks for the next great word prompt and also for the opportunity to use Prose Poetry and Internal Rhyme.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The road was almost empty, the heavy rain decided not to stop. If I should be twenty again, I would never allow that terrible slap of life. I wanted to prove I am fast enough and I can manage the speed.  It was just a second and everything turned to black. I still can’t remember anything just the great heat and it felt like my body would get melt into the seat. Though I “escaped” from the dark hands of death, I know what I did. It will be always visible – the price of that sin…
Anytime I will stay infront the mirror, anytime I will touch my skin.

Writing 201: Poetry, Day Two – Gift

It is not easy to express by any way how thankful I am for God’s presence in my life. He gave me a lot of talents, an amazing husband and two beautiful children. Though all of my talents, no one of my skills can fully describe or express my feelings towards Him.
I wrote at least this short poem – using ACROSTIC – dedicated to our Lord.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God gave me everything I have – and it is pretty much.
I don’t belong to myself, I don’t own anything.
Father with lion’s heart; unconditional love.
Thank You for all of Your gifts, this is my turn now.
Evil can’t separate me from You; just let him try.
Don’t ask me how much I love Him, peek through the keyhole into my heart.
Writing 201: Poetry, Day One – Screen
Hello poets, poetry lovers and readers!
I am an amateur writer and photographer and though the English language is my fourth language I love to write in English or I am trying to do my best :0)
I am writing since I could recognize the letters but it was mostly in my native language which is Slovak.
I wrote a couple of poems and stories but never tried Haiku or Tanka, so I hope my first try will be at least somewhat successful :0)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I choose TANKA for today’s prompt “Screen”

Big round eyed fish
looking through the frozen screen,
wants to say something…
Afraid of the hook and web,
if it could do, it would scream.
