Poems for flowers #6

Crown of Thorns, Christ Plant, Siamese Lucky Plant (Euphorbia milii)

Be careful while touching me, don’t come very close.
My crown is from thorns
and I don’t want you to be hurt,
just bring some nice spectacle, a little joy.

If you remember that sad, painful scene,
when Christ was walking to the Golgotha
with a heavy cross and a bleeding head,
cursed and hated, still quiet like a lamb…
So I got my second name.
(Christ Plant)

Two petals joined together
like Siamese siblings,
always beside each other.
Sometimes pink, sometimes red,
sometimes yelow or different,
but always one.
So I got my third name,
the “Siamese Lucky Plant”.
