Share Your World – 2016 Week 12

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?
I would drink coconut water. It is very refreshing, yet the jelly is very delicious.

What made you feel good this past week?
I was able to attend the on-line team leaders meeting with my colleagues from all over the world and it was a very nice experience for me. We discussed some things about translating the Bible reading plans and how to motivate the volunteers to keep them committed to this beautiful life mission.

When you’re alone at home, do you wear shoes, socks, slippers, or go barefoot?
I usually wear slippers though I love go barefoot. Since we share the house with other persons, I can’t enjoy go barefoot now.

Would you rather live where it is always hot or always cold?
I lived in Europe, where I could experience all of the year seasons, but I dreamed about living somewhere, where is always warm. My dream came true last year, after I moved to my husband (that time fiancée), to Jamaica.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am always grateful for God’s presence in our lives and for our health. The last week was a bit busy, but we did it and I could enjoy my weekend with my husband. We visited the public library on Saturday and we went to the Emancipation Park and ate some ice cream on Sunday. 🙂

For this week I am looking forward to receive my login details, so I can open my first slots and start teaching. Yay!

Share Your World – 2016 Week 11

Swan – definitely one of my favourite animals

How many siblings do you have? What’s your birth order? 
I have one older brother.

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger?
I would definitely rather be a passanger. I have a driving license, but I don’t like driving.

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles or turn on the flashlight? How many of each do you own?
Here in our community we have power short outage approximately once or twice a month. We light candles and sometimes use the flashlight app in my mobile phone.

List at least five of your favorite types of animals?  (any animal to domestic to wild to marine life)
Who knows me a little bit, already realised my passion for swans. It is the most beautiful animal to me. I also love cats and dogs and I loved my Octodon degus. The next of my favorite ones are butterflies and ladybugs.

What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am very grateful for God’s presence while taking my demo lesson exames for the online English teacher position. I passed them successfully and I can’t wait start teaching. I am also grateful for health and beautiful blooming mangoes. I can see already some tiny mangoes on some branches :).
I am looking forward to accomplish my other tasks and prepare myself for the teaching.

Share Your World – 2016 Week #10

What would you ask for if a genie granted you three wishes?
Food, Shelter, Free education for everyone. As long as this will be available for everyone, I do believe the other problems will slowly retreat, because a lot of them are beginning at an empty stomach and finishing at a lack of education.

What experiences are most meaningful to you?
All of my life experiences. The positive ones also the negative ones, but with deeper impact. These make us stronger and developing the compassion, gratitude and understanding.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Teacher. I always felt a passion for tutoring or teaching, help others to achieve their goals.

Complete this sentence:  The best day of my life was…. each day is a gift. I am grateful for each one though there are days I am not smiling or feel overwhelmed. There are brighter and less brighter moments in our lives, but as long as we love and are loved, each day ist the best one.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for my successful interview and for all the accomplished tasks. I am also grateful for the beautiful gifts I got from the YouVersion company as a “thanks” for volunteering in translation. I feel blessed for the opportunity to be able to spread the Word.
I am looking forward to successfully pass my demo lesson exam (on Thursday) for the online English teacher position.
