Trochilidae – Humming bird or Doctor Bird is the Jamaican national bird. There are more species of this tiny birds in Jamaica, but this one we can see in our yard regularly. The bird comes usually in early mornings and likes liking the sweet nectar of the flowers. The more rare specie is the Trochilus polytmus with two long tail feathers, which I saw only once so far.
