Here is nice a tradition in more of European countries to build a Maypole in the evening before the May 1st.

In Slovakia the boys were built Maypoles front of the houses their beloved girls and the next day was a big celebration in the villages, the people were dancing, singing and celebrate until the late evening.

The tradition is still live in the most of Slovak and Czech towns. In our town is standing the Maypole on the main square as usually and the people can write a message for their beloved. It is a very nice tradition, the messages are not only by our citizens also by tourists they visit our town.
