The last color variation of the Star spider Gasteracantha cancriformis. This color was the one I really desired to see in person. I like yellow and this spider is just interesting. I wouldn’t touch him though. 🙂

I already introduced to you the White Star Spider and I was really happy to discover this black one. As I mentioned, my husband and his friends from his childhood played with these spiders and the black one was a “soldier”. Next time I will share with all of you a yellow one, which is my favourite one 🙂

These tiny spiders live in our yard and there are a lot of them here. This one has a white back and is very common in Jamaica. The body has a star shape or looks like a tiny crab, therefore its common name is star spider or crab-like orbweaver spider. There are more colour combination of these spiders and my husband explained me, they use to play with them, when he was a child and each colour would have a “special power”. 🙂 He even told me, he didn’t know, that it is actually a spider, until he grew up.
