In response to the Photo 101 – Blogging University for the day one – Home and Getting Oriented

Trencin – my home town
You were the first to listen to my loud cry,
my crib, the place where I was born, but you didn’t see me grow up.
I have been thirty years away
and coming back to you I realised you were changed,
but so did I.
I spent some more years with you the second time,
until I found my new home far far away.
But I will never forget,
you were my crib and I will always come back,
to the place where I took my very first breath.
Powerful!!
What a lovely postcard photo and words 🙂
Thank you very much, Jacqueline! ☺
My pleasure 🙂
Beautiful poem that compliments a lovely picture. Well done, Majka.
Thanks a lot, Paul! ☺ I miss those views but I am fine ☺
You are welcome, Majka. 🙂
You live in an amazing city majka!
I was born in Trencin and lived there only for 10 years but Iove my birth town. I am far far away now. ☺
Oh! Never heard about this place! Did you spend considerable time outside Slovakia?
I lived in an another city for most of my life, but moved just the last year to Jamaica.
Okay!
There is a pleasant, balanced composition to your photo. Nice poem, too.
Thanks a lot for your comment! ☺ I’m glad you like it.
