19th century architecture – Vlkolinec village – most of the houses were built in 1875, the bell tower was built in 1770

Once upon a time there was a village
where the life was simple and calm,
where the candles were shining
on tables during the dinner time.
Where bread and potato was a gift,
honored were the hands preparing it.
Where prayer was spoken before the first bite.
That was a beautiful and blessed time.

  1. True! It makes me to compare the early teensy life (calmer one) with that of now (the chaotic one with all those gadgets around).

  2. Monochrome suits this photo very well. it brings a glimpse of lost era.

    • The village is beautiful and the monochrome BW or sepia tones bring the passed times closer. ☺ Thank you!

  3. Now I know what my wife was talking about. This looks like our kind of place.

    • I am glad you like it, Emilio. If you want any advice, go ahead and ask 😊

      • It’s a little soon to ask. We won’t be traveling this year, I don’t think. We have a house we have to sell first. But I will when the time comes. Thanks.

      • You are most welcome, Emilio! ☺ Anytime
