Photography 101, Day Two: Street

Street leading to the main square

Did you ever have
a compassion for streets?
You are saying: “They are laying there for years! “
Don’t you see the footprints and the weight of tyres they need to bear?
Day by day, week by week… year by year…
You say: “It is their purpose, the reason they were built.”
But still,
you should keep them safe and clean.
They are a part of your village and town,
they are here to serve everyone.
If you take them for granted, harm them and destroy them,
how will you find your way home?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Trencin – my home town

You were the first to listen to my loud cry,
my crib, the place where I was born, but you didn’t see me grow up.
I have been thirty years away
and coming back to you I realised you were changed,
but so did I.
I spent some more years with you the second time,
until I found my new home far far away.
But I will never forget,
you were my crib and I will always come back,
to the place where I took my very first breath.

Vag river – the silent mirror

These were my best moments while my residence in my birth town. Walks by the river and enjoying the calmness. The river was mostly very still and the reflections just beautiful.

One nice afternoon I saw this beautiful reflection on my father’s dark blue car. Thanks God I have always at least my small camera with me…
