This is my first poem for Open Link Night which has been introduced to me by Victoria , a dVerse participant. Thank you! ☺
I will link this poem to the Hands prompt from the Poetic Tuesday at dVerse. So here is my entry for the Open Link Night-168
*Note: This is not a recipe ☺
Hands getting white
sifting the white flour
into the white plastic bowl.
Two teaspoons of yeast
a pinch of salt,
warm milk is wetting the flour.
Fingers sliding into the mass
forming the dough.
The value of hard hand work
will appear soon,
when putting the warm bread
on the white ceramic plate.

Oh I love this… the feeling of dough and the way you make me feel the taste of warm bread… Hands are capable of a lot.
Thanks Björn ☺ Have a nice weekend!
Lovely write 🙂
Thank you, Sanaa!☺
Using hands to knead dough–a wonderfully textural experience, like working with clay.
Definitely it is! ☺ I am going to bake some bread again maybe today ☺
So nice…
Thank you! ☺
This old bread maker appreciates this piece! Thank you!
My pleasure and thanks for your comment! ☺
Ah bread is not all that was being made here in this white on white piece. Well done.
Thanks a lot! ☺
Yes and a dab of melting butter… I think of my children… and of course my mother.
I’ve heard of comfort food but this was a “comfort poem” Thanks.
Thanks a lot for your comforting words ☺ Just finished baking. This time the bread is very nice.
I can smell that handmade bread, nothing quite like it 🙂
Definitely! ☺ My husband couldn’t wait until the bread was cooling down. He already ate two slices with peanut butter.
Welcome!! I can smell the freshly baked bread. Now, where’s the honey?
Well, we don’t have right now any, but the peanut butter or sardine spread is always an option
That is true! I’ll take the peanut butter! 🙂 Truly enjoyed your poem!
Thank you very much! I appreciate it a lot, you are writing a lot and I believe you have far more experiences 🙂
Perhaps because I’m older. Emphasis on the er!
☺ Hope your weekend started well
It is. Yours too!
☺Going to library , yay 😀
Yay!!
Ah.. to make
the bread
of Life
instead
of buying
it.. to hunt
and gather
instead
of
storing
it.. to
move..
connect..
create as Life..:)
And how amazing is to play with dough ☺
SMiLes.. Any creating
is good creating to me..:)
