Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #26

Red ants and Soursop fruit – a plenty of them big, red and fierce, they set up a colony, milk the flowers of sweet nectar and weave the large leaves into nests. They guard their terrain and it is better to not bother them. Well if you would like to eat some of these healthy fruits just sweep them off once the fruit is fully ripe and enjoy one of the most healthiest fruit in the world.

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #25

Some years ago I was attracted by breeding exotic insects and since I couldn’t get that time Eurycantha Calcarata, my brother offered me a Peruphasma schultei pair. I was impressed by their color combination, shammy skin and the bright red wings. I enjoyed breeding them for a while, but since they are doing very well as pets and breeding is not difficult, they had many babies and after a while it began to be unbearable to keep them. Be very careful with breeding them, if you don’t plan to make profit 🙂 They will spread very fast and in a short while it will be difficult to recognize the poop from the eggs :-)))

Usually after we received our salary, a lot of us heading to supermarkets to do some shopping and fill our cupboards with yummy things.

Ants are hard workers. They don’t get payed, but they have a great source of food in the nature and they cooperation is leading to a great stores with – fort them – tasty things. If you should dig a hole or cut the soil, you would see a great “Ant supermarket” under the surface.

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #22

TrochilidaeHumming bird or Doctor Bird is the Jamaican national bird. There are more species of this tiny birds in Jamaica, but this one we can see  in our yard regularly. The bird comes usually in early mornings and likes liking the sweet nectar of the flowers. The more rare specie is the Trochilus polytmus with two long tail feathers, which I saw only once so far.

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #21

The last color variation of the Star spider Gasteracantha cancriformis. This color was the one I really desired to see in person. I like yellow and this spider is just interesting. I wouldn’t touch him though. 🙂
