Sunday Photo Hunting

Sunday Photo Hunting โ€“ 2016 Week #20

I already introduced to you the White Star Spiderย and I was really happy to discover this black one. As I mentioned, my husband and his friends from his childhood played with these spiders and the black one was a “soldier”. Next time I will share with all of you a yellow one, which is my favourite one ๐Ÿ™‚

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #19

Leptotes cassius, commonly known as the Cassius Blue or Tropical Striped Blue.ย This was the first time I saw it in our yard licking the nectar from the gungo peas flower. I was very glad, I could capture this butterfly enjoying the nectar.

My first orange grasshopper. I can see a lot of grey and some green ones here in our yard, but this one was very interesting and bigger.

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #16

Red ants are everywhere around us and they are a great object for macro photography. Ants and aphidsย are in a relationship of mutualism. Ants feed on the sugary honeydew left behind by aphids. In exchange, the ants protect the aphids from predators and parasites.

Sunday Photo Hunting – 2016 Week #15

It is so funny watching a Bumble-bee collecting the pollen. Since the Bumble-bee is huger than a Honey Bee there are more details to enjoy. They won’t attack you like Honey bees, they don’t really care if there is an audience. I really love how fluffy they are ๐Ÿ™‚
